What they ment 5k years ago might be different about what we'll face but just let remember that 5k years ago they were able to predict an eclipse today with less than 30 minutes of error

I trust the Mayans. As I said they miss a modern day eclipse for just about 30 minutes and they said it was going to happens about 5k years ago
I trust what they said because it seems that all the ages that ended, wasn't due the human beaviour but simply because planet earth is a small marble in this galaxy and we are just passenger of this spaceship

Well, they also had glyphs that showed a giant body of water falling on the land, and fire erupting from the surface within the same time period if I remember right. Some say the 2012 is the end of a taxing of man... I used to have the information on that idea, but I can't find it right now. The 'real' end would be october 29th 2011... if I remember correctly.

Either way... the Mayan's were genius with astronomy and architecture. How they were able to do that, is still beyond my comprehension. We'll discover the information at some point however. I'm sure of that.

There's as you said, so many theories out there. What's right and what's been translated properly or bias speculation is still up in the air. All we do as scientists in the world of the present, is speculate on what the artifacts show us.

Hopefully we'll see something new, and something much needed in the world. Perhaps like experiencing the arch, we should pry close our eyes till the lull is felt, on that day lol.

At the end of every age there was something cataclysmic that changed the way the planet looks and the people lived on it.
This time seems to be the spiritual turn, don't know what that means but we are lucky enough to be in the right age span to see it happens, ofcourse if the so called sientist didn't miscalculated or mistranslated the thing

Native Americans say the Earth has been destroyed 4 times now. If I remember right. This will be the 5th time. It's said the world will be destroyed only 7 times from their legend. Chinese I-ching and Native Americans all agree mathematically the end is dec 21 2012.
